From Idea to Impact: A Smart Logistics Mission

Legally based in Bulgaria and operated from Germany, Urbix Hub is on a mission to reshape how cities move.

Their goal? To make urban mobility safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

With a focus on professional driver training and behavioural change, the team is introducing an entirely new approach to road safety.

Urbix Hub is building Europe’s first connected simulator network for SMEs in mobility, offering on-demand, affordable training that empowers small and mid-sized logistics businesses to improve safety, reduce downtime, and drive smarter operations.

Co-founded by CEO Lore Andrade and CTO Álvaro Jiménez, the company combines strategic insight with strong technical leadership to build scalable solutions for real-world mobility impact.

Incubated by EIT Jumpstarter

In 2024, Urbix Hub joined the EIT Jumpstarter programme under the Urban Mobility category. The experience proved transformative.

“The EIT Jumpstarter programme has been a game-changer,” says founder Lore Andrade. “We gained strategic mentorship, refined our business model, and secured our first investment.”

Winning first prize and a €10,000 award at the Grand Final validated their solution and gave them the momentum to move into development and piloting.

The Urbix Hub Solution

Urbix Hub offers a B2B platform that connects mobility SMEs with professional driving simulators enabling logistics and mobility SMEs to access high-quality driver training, advanced driver analytics, and significantly reduce operational downtime.

The impact? An average of 67% fewer preventable collisions among trained drivers. By making simulation training accessible to everyone, they’re contributing to safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mobility across sectors.

Scaling with Purpose

Urbix Hub is currently at Technology Readiness Level 5, with its prototype validated and preparations underway for its first pilot programme. This next phase will be carried out through simulation, logistics, and academic collaborations across Germany, Hungary, Austria, Portugal, Australia, and Vietnam.

Part of the last cohort of the Better Mobility Accelerator, the team is now focused on refining its booking platform with early users feedback, and laying the foundation for a future gamification and well-being app for professional drivers.

We’re laying the groundwork to scale responsibly and strategically across Europe,” says CTO Álvaro Jiménez

Looking Ahead

Urbix Hub continues to build strategic partnerships with logistics companies and associations, simulator providers, NGOs and academic institutions.

Their broader vision is to help cities achieve Vision Zero goals by equipping mobility businesses with smarter training tools to reduce crashes and save lives.

Our broader goal is to create safer roads and foster the development of smarter, more sustainable cities”, adds Alvaro.

Urbix Hub’s journey shows how technology and entrepreneurship can work hand in hand to improve lives and make cities safer, one driver at a time.
